Accucraft Trains – Lima 13-2 Class A 13-Ton Shay
 
The Lima 13-2 Class A 13-ton Shay was one of Lima’s most successful industrial locomotives, built for logging, sugar plantations, and industrial railways throughout the United States and around the world. These versatile locomotives operated on a wide range of track gauges and earned a reputation for exceptional pulling power and reliability.
 
Today, only one example of this straight-boiler design survives—a beautifully restored locomotive in Queensland, Australia, originally built in 1908 and preserved at the Nambour Museum.
 
Accucraft’s live steam model faithfully captures the character of this iconic Shay and features adjustable gauge for both 32mm and 45mm track. The model also includes two interchangeable smokestacks, reflecting the options originally offered by Lima.
