Accucraft Rideon - The EMD GP38 is an American outline diesel locomotive. It is a 4-axle diesel-electric road switcher locomotive built by General Motors' Electromotive Division as part of its Dash 2 line between April 1972 and December 1986. 


Our model has a wealth of detail, fitted with spring suspension, full electronic control and optional sound system and/or radio control. The model features an all steel body, ball bearing axles, direct chain drive and working headlights and marker lights. Power is provided by 1400W electric motors making it a very power model. 

Base model includes two power trucks with 2 DC 24V 350W motors per truck, 1.5" scale working couplers, electronic handheld control and primed grey paint.




Standard is battery electric powered. Additional costs for installing petrol hydraulic motor.

Custom paint job available (to be quoted).


Dynamic breaks (cosmetic) are standard. They can be removed by request when ordering.


Custom dummy slug available for order (no motors and electronics) $7,000. Contact us to order.
